Hidden Door

This library was designed to hide a staircase and a doorway. The left side of the library case is fully functional. The right side are all false books. The wainscott at the bottom also contains a hidden door to provide additional storage.

Musician's Lamp

Lamp made from an old unplayable clarinet. Base is bubinga. The G Clef is dyed poplar.

Finished with 12 coats of 1 pound cut of pale shellac. Hand rubbed and polished with paste wax.

Toy Chest / Blanket Chest

White Oak and American Walnut. Hand cut dovetail construction throughout.

Chess Table

Adaptation of a Chippendale mahogany claw-and-ball card table, Goddard-Townsend group, Newport, Rhode Island, circa 1760-1770. Modified from a card table to a chess table.Inlaid Chess board made from Curley Maple, American Walnut and trimed in Holly and Wenge.

Queen Anne Lamp Table

An adaptation of a Queen Anne Tea Table with pull out candle trays.
Made of American Cherry. The tops are a single board across the width hand planed to thickness.Drawers are hand dovetailed with a bead applied. Drawer sides are maple.The drawer pull is from Ball and Ball.Finished with 15 coats of 1 pound cut of pale shellac. Hand rubbed and polished with traditional paste polish.
